Get Yourself 6 Minutes Behind

The official line is "6 Minutes Behind' is Codex Machine's second release on Nitrous Records. This genre-fusing breakbeat track with a West-Coast hip hop influence has
a seriously funky groove."

Nice - but we nearly went with a much longer description that we can't currently find. It's "top down" music.

BIG NEWS!

You may have been wondering exactly WHY we've been so quiet recently.  Well, this is why - we've got BIG news. Have we made that
clear enough?

a)       Codex Machine's dark as heck breaks tune 'Crunch' will be the first EVER release on new download label Nitrous Records.
It will be available from Juno Records and DJ Download websites, amongst many others.  It's out VERY soon, but we'll let you know exactly when.

b)       Our second release will be on 12" vinyl!  It will be the Man Vs Monkey EP, coming out through the wonderful Womb Records
(Listen With Sarah, Ergo Phizmiz), containing 4 varied and barking tracks from us.

c)       and we've had our very popular track Love Requiem licensed for a BIG compilation - It doesn't get much more
prestigious than this in the world of breakbeat-driven music so we're extremely excited - More news to come!!!

No, we didn't win anything, it's true, but with the calibre of the competition there's no embarrassment to be had here.

If you don't feel like following that link, or it's no longer active, the salient info is here:

Codex Machine's Love Requiem, The Freestylers' Painkiller, Justice vs. Simian's We Are Your Friend, Hybrid's I Choose Noise and
general big-ups to these artists: Control Z and Screwface, Lee Coombs and J Mekka.

Some more changes to the website, this time in the form of the Live page. Currently home to Dellamorte's
DJ diary. Check it out and come along!

¦ May 20 2006 ¦

Coffeebar Records launch their own Internet radio station on Wednesday 24th May. The opening night will feature
yet another Codex Machine mix. It is, of course, our best yet. But each new one we do is the best yet, so you'd better
listen to it quick before we do another one and it doesn't seem as good. Forget we said that - it's great!
ADDITIONAL: The mix went great - we headlined the evening and a splendid bunch of listening was had
by all. We hope to make the mix available for streaming/dowload in the fullness of time.

¦ May 16 2006 ¦

It's been a busy couple of weeks for the Machine. On May 13th, Dellamorte made his debut appearance at
Ministry of Sound
, on the same bill as Josh Wink. This is, of course, excellent.

Codex Machine contributed their second mix to the BBC in the form of the Welsh Language mix (which we
are hoping to make available for download soon) for Huw Stephens' show on
BBC Radio Cymru on which
we were also interviewed through Codex's masterful control of the language. Since the show normally has sessions
from bands rather than long mixes, it's not available to download from their
session page, but as a courtesy measure,
they have versions of put up copies of "Positive Payback", "Fight Club" and "Everybody Runs" on their
Codex Machine page.
Erm, don't read the page too closely, eh?

And finally for some NEWS THAT HASN'T ALREADY ACTUALLY HAPPENED!
Yes, that's right, the
Coffeebar Records mix for their exciting forthcoming Internet radio station. Some of the tracks will be
familiar to hardened CM listeners, but there's a couple you might not know. And even if you do, there'll still be some bits
you won't expect thanks to us putting it together on our funky new software that we wouldn't dream of naming.
Bit of a baptism of fire that one. Keep an eye on their site for more info.
